Goodbye Goa, Hello Mumbai (Part 1)

6/12 ~ We woke up early to take a tour of local temples and the highlight, Tropical Spice Plantation, one of many spice plantations in Goa.

Hindu Temple 1 (sorry, I forgot the name.)

Tropical Spice Plantation. We took a quick tour and were informed about various spices. The tour was all right. It would have been better if they went slower – too much content in too little time. They fed us a buffet of local dishes afterwards, every food I tried was yummy (for some reason, I keep using this adjective in India).

Vanilla, the smell was delicious

I rode an elephant for the first time! Peggy was too scared to get on board the big creature. He was 35 years old, approximately a third through the average life span of an elephant. So comparatively speaking, he was roughly the same age as Peggy and I.

After the tour, we got back to our Castle home and rested to catch an early train tomorrow.

6/13 ~ We rode the train from Thivim station in Goa to Mumbai CST, leaving around 8 AM and arriving at around 10 PM. Food was greasy but quite tasty, and as a bonus, we didn’t get sick from it. We arrived at Anu’s and rejoiced at our reunion.
